It is surrounded by a wall built by King Sancho el Fuerte (the Strong) of Navarre and its original five gates are still the only accesses to the town.

Its church is found in the northern part of the town. It has a rectangular floor plan with three longitudinal naves separated by pillars, a transept longer than the church since it has a chapel at each end and an apse that is semi-circular in the interior and polygonal in the exterior.
The porch is built in carved stone and dates from the late fourteenth century, although its polychrome is from the seventeenth century.
It is formed by an extremely pointed Gothic arch that forms five archivolts, all richly decorated.
